Description
This STL contains a single, high-detail model of an ornamental camel sculpture. The piece emphasizes flowing swirl motifs, raised filigree panels, and a mechanical wheel accent on the hump. The sculpt is optimized for medium-to-high-detail prints and is suitable for both resin (SLA/DLP) and filament (FDM/FFF) printing. Best results are achieved with careful support placement and fine-layer settings to preserve the raised ornamentation.
Model features
High-relief swirling filigree across the body and legs
Distinct wheel/gear medallion on the flank (integrated)
Well-defined beak/face, hooves, and hump silhouette
Single-piece model (unless you export a split version for large prints)
Ready for painting and patina effects
Recommended print settings
Printer type
Resin (SLA/DLP): recommended for best detail (fine filigree preserved).
FDM/FFF: acceptable — requires finer nozzle and slower settings for crisp details.
Orientation
Upright, standing on hooves with the feet on the build plate is the natural orientation.
For resin prints, orient with a slight tilt (~10–20°) and front of model angled to reduce supports on ornate areas.
For FDM, orient to minimize long horizontal overhangs across the flank swirl details.
Supports
Required under: belly overhangs, inner curve of neck, underside of the wheel emblem, and any small undercuts around the legs and between hooves.
Resin: use dense supports on high-curvature regions and a robust raft/base. Tree supports reduce scarring on filigree.
FDM: custom supports under the belly and wheel; consider using breakaway or BVOH supports if available.
Layer height
Resin: 0.025–0.05 mm (25–50 µm).
FDM: 0.08–0.16 mm (0.08 recommended for detail). Use 0.05–0.08 mm with a 0.25–0.35 mm nozzle for extra crispness.
Nozzle / tip
FDM: 0.25–0.35 mm for high detail; 0.4 mm acceptable if paired with low layer height.
Resin: default for your machine (higher resolution preferred).
