3D Printing Parameters
Layer Height: 0.1 – 0.2 mm for filament (FDM) to maintain smooth curves; 0.03 – 0.05 mm for Resin if maximum facial detail fidelity is desired.
Infill: 15 – 20% (sufficient for decorative pieces).
Supports: TECHNICAL ANALYSIS: Due to its bas-relief nature, most angles are self-supporting if printed horizontally (face up). If printed vertically, light "tree" or manual supports are required exclusively on the character's chin, the underside of the bird, and the overhang of the top cross to prevent sagging.
Suggested Material: PURPOSE ANALYSIS: PLA with a silk or matte finish is recommended for a sculptural look in FDM. For a professional, smooth finish that highlights the facial expression, standard grey or beige Resin is the best option.
