Description
Georgi Rakovski (1821–1867) was a Bulgarian revolutionary, writer, and national hero. He played a key role in the Bulgarian National Revival and was one of the first leaders to organize the struggle for liberation from Ottoman rule. Rakovski promoted revolutionary ideas through his writings, journalism, and the creation of Bulgarian legions. He is considered a founder of the Bulgarian revolutionary movement and a major inspiration for later freedom fighters.
