Description
This model depicts a stylized eagle statue wearing engraved armor plates and a cogwheel motif on its wing — ideal as a display piece or centerpiece. The sculpt emphasizes high-relief feather textures, filigree panels, and mechanical accents. The STL is suitable for resin and filament printing; see recommended settings below for best results.

Model features

High-detail feather and filigree surface sculpting

Distinct armor plates and wheel/gear emblem on the wing

Separate raised details (beak, talons) for crisp printing

Solid single-piece sculpture (or multiple pieces if you have a split version)

Neutral base/stand area for easy placement on display stands

Recommended print settings
Printer type

FDM/FFF (filament): works well, but uses supports for overhangs and fine-tuning (see supports notes).

SLA / Resin: excellent for preserving fine feather and filigree detail — recommended for small sizes and highly-detailed finishes.

Orientation

Upright (natural pose): base down, eagle standing — preserves frontal details and silhouette.

Alternate (slightly tilted back): angle ~5–10° to reduce support on underside of beak/wing.
Orient to minimize large overhangs on the wing tips and underneath the belly.

Supports

Required under:

Beak / lower beak overhangs

Wing tips if printed in natural pose (especially large scales)

Between leg/talon toes and base (if they are separated from the base)

Any deep recessed undercuts

Use tree supports for resin or flexible support patterns for FDM to reduce surface scarring.

Layer height

Resin: 25–50 µm (0.025–0.05 mm) for best detail.

FDM: 0.08–0.16 mm (80–160 µm) for a good balance of detail and time. Use 0.05–0.10 mm if you want extra crisp feather work on a larger printer.

Nozzle / tip

FDM nozzle: 0.4 mm standard; 0.25–0.35 mm for higher detail.

Resin: standard settings for your resin printer.

Infill & shells (FDM)

Infill: 10–25% (gyroid or cubic) — raise to 30–40% if printing larger or if you want heavier feel.

Wall / shell: 2–4 perimeters (3 recommended) — increase if you want stronger claws or thinnish features.
