Description
Now you’ll no longer be all alone in the night!
During my… protracted absence, I finally got a chance to actually sit down and watch Babylon 5. Yes: I, an immense, life-long sci-fi nerd, had never even watched a single episode of Babylon 5, so it was finally time to remedy that. So far… pretty impressed!
For those who, like me, also haven’t watched B5, the basic story is that the station was established by the Earth Alliance to act as a neutral port for trade, diplomacy and generally as a place where people of all races can come together in peace and then try to kill each other. The station is under the command (from season 2 onwards) of Captain John Sheridan (played by the legend that is Bruce Boxleitner) and crewed by a varied and eclectic team of various badasses.
Seriously. I would NOT want to get on Cmdr Ivanova’s bad side…
The whole series is set against the developing backdrop of the Great War, with an ancient and highly advanced species known as The Shadow acting as the big villain of the story, and where lots of cool sci-fi stuff can happen!
This is the first of the B5-related things I’ll be listing on here (one still to be properly finalised and others in the pipeline), but it certainly won’t be the last. As is usual with the badges I make it’s secured onto your jacket/hat/shirt/head/etc via two pins, secured by spring caps. (which you'll have to source separately). It’s subtly different from the actual badge used in the series as the darkest blue material I have for the background has a very subtle glitter impregnated into it – you may not be able to see from the photos unless you really zoom in, but trust me, it’s there. It’s then sanded and polished to within an inch of its life to make it as metallic-looking as possible. Vertigo Starlight PLA by Fillamentum, in case you're interested.
Your last, best hope for coolness!
