Press release: Threeding.com with Mobile Version and Facebook Catalog

We are really happy to announce the launch of the  mobile version of our 3D printing marketplace Threeding.com and the Product Catalog for our Facebook page. This is the second step of our project Threeding 2.0 and it comes couple of weeks after the introduction of our new design and navigation, and the new commissioning mechanism. 

Launching a mobile version came as  a natural step for us in the contemporary environment of increasing distribution of smartphones. It comes to ensure that mobile users are served with content formatted for mobile devices giving them the best user experience possible. The mobile version is now at hand http://www.threeding.com/mobile/. It is a bit lighter than the desktop version but all main functions are available. We have taken off some features that can be shown only as a  desktop version or functionalities that still cannot be used from mobile devices due to the limitation of 3D printing hardware. The mobile version will be a default site for all smartphones and a link to the desktop version will be available. Tablets will remain with desktop version as the default one.

Like the desktop version, the mobile one is also hosted by Amazon Web Services. Our aim is to ensure a really scalable solution which can stand millions of visitors and multiple simultaneous  downloads without affecting the quality of the service. 

Facebook catalog
Together with the mobile version, we are launching a product catalog for our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Threeding/app_616058878440162. It will present our Facebook followers the option to view all 3D printing models directly from their FB profile. The catalog is real-time synchronized with the website and provides a user experience at a level similar to the one of our website. We believe that we are the first 3D printing marketplace to offer such application and we firmly believe that this will get us an additional client flow. We hope to develop this new solution further by upgrading it to a completely functional store for 3D printing designs..

We continue our work on Project Threeding 2.0 and soon we will launch Apps for Apple iOS and Android devices. The applications are intensively being tested and their launch will follow very soon. 3D visualization of the models directly on web and the absolutely innovative functionality for online 3D printability check are also on the way.
